MATTA Fair is a bi-annual fair for travel and there will be plenty of Malaysia travel agencies vying for your attention for overseas travel to whither and where. But what about for the rest of us who rather travel closer to home for some good old tourism Malaysia? Might be kinda tough but yes there are local domestic cuti-cuti Malaysia travel destination.

This time round I spied some promotion for tourism Malaysia in the pull out section in the local daily for MATTA Fair 2010.

MATTA Fair 2010 tourism Malaysia promotions

Rebak Island Resort LangkawiRebak Island Resort Langkawi – Now here’s an interesting offer! Free stay for Rebak Island Resort Facebook fans! Seems like they set up an interactive fan page containing comprehensive information about their private Malaysian Island resort with attractive picture snapshots and captions for your reference. For those who have been there, you can share your holiday memories with pictures and narratives and swap your holiday travel destination experiences or just enjoy stories of others who had stay in Rebak Island. And of course they have promotion set up in the Facebook fan page. As to how to get your free stay, you just have to find out in their Facebook fan page.

A bit more about Rebak Island Resort Langkawi, the hotel is under the Taj Hotel group on a privately own 390 acre island. It has magnificent view of the Senari Straits that is bordering the Andaman Sea, and of course complete with private beach with clear turquoise sea waters.

Another MATTA Fair promotion is the Bella Vista Hotel Langkawi which is set on a 60 acres of landscaped grounds facing the Andaman Sea. The Bella Vista Hotel resort offers tranquility around the Langkawi Island within Kuah, the main town in Langkawi. They have 226 air-conditioned guest rooms of various classes ranging from standard, superior, deluxe, suite and apartments. The hotel is located ideally for those who would like to explore Langkawi Island main historical and tourism Malaysia sites.

During the MATTA Fair 2010 they have some special deals. So go look them up and see what they have to offer.

Berjaya Hotels and Resorts – Berjaya have very reasonable packages, some of which I have taken up before in their previous fairs. Berjaya has many resorts including popular Malaysia island resorts and Berjaya Hill highlands resort. Let’s see now, they have the Berjaya Redang Resort (refurbished and reopened), some new chalets in Berjaya Langkawi Resort, and there is of course the Berjaya Tioman Island Resort.

For something cooler and away from the hot sunny sun of Malaysia beach, there is the Colmar Tropicale French replica town in Berjaya Hill at Bukit Tinggi which you can stay for a night of two for something French.

Avillion Hotel Group Port Dickson – Usually when going for the nearest seaside getaway for most KL folks, they usually head out to Port Dickson. Though I’m not a big fan of PD (as most of us shorten its name as such, like good old KL from Kuala Lumpur, heh, heh), there are some nice hotel resorts in PD away from the usual dirty seaside nearer to the Port Dickson town. Of course the PD beaches still cannot compare with those pristine ones in Terengganu or Sabah and Sarawak, but PD hotels and resort, they are near for us KL folks. So for a good stay, Avillion Port Dickson hotel is worth considering.

Avillion Port DicksonAvillion Port Dickson is considered as one of the most scenic hideaways in Port Dickson and of course located further away from PD town, far enough for some clean beautiful beaches. The resort is strategically placed overlooking the beautiful clear waters of Straits of Malacca. The seawaters here are calm and breezy and of course they have white sandy beaches.

Avillion Port Dickson also offers beautiful surroundings and they put in some Malay Village concept into their design for that relaxing, charming hideaway private chalets in a garden concept or chalets built on stilts over the seawater. Staying in chalet on stilts with water surrounding you gives you an interesting ambience and one that you should try! Yes, I did stay in a similar guesthouse Pulau Pangkor on anther island resort, and it is definitely a must try!

Their packages are pretty affordable so go check it out on the MATTA Fair 2010 for any special offers!

I’m sure there are more local tourism Malaysia travel packages in the MATTA Fair 2010, so all you need to do is mosey along together with the maddening crowd in PWTC from 12-14 March, 10am to 9pm.

Bon voyage!
