Oh, bugger. Petrol price in Malaysia is up again. Of course this time ample notice was given (about 2 months), but the final pricing was higher than what was previously announced (RON95 was supposed to be RM1.75/l while RON97 ws to be RM2.00/l). This time round the petrol kiosk was not as jam up as last time probably many people remembered about the impending price increase, though the petrol station had more patrons than usual.

The pricing:
RON95 = RM1.80/litre (old price RM1.75)
RON97 = RM2.05/litre (old price RM1.80)

The above is effective from 1/Sep/2009. Those who forget about the impending price increase would probably be surprised.
